Ladies of the Tin™
Original Acrylic Painting
Meet the ladies who started it all.
Ladies of the Tin™ is the original painting that launched my whimsical world of Southern Salty Sardines™—a colorful cast of characters inspired by Southern charm, vibrant personalities, and stories worth collecting.
Featuring five stylish sardines dressed in florals, polka dots, pearls, bows, and plenty of sass, this joyful gathering celebrates friendship, individuality, and the beauty of embracing exactly who you are. Each sardine brings her own unique personality to the scene, creating a playful composition filled with humor, color, and heart.
Painted in acrylics on a 12" × 16" gallery-wrapped canvas, this one-of-a-kind original combines expressive brushwork, layered texture, and hand-painted details to create a piece that is both whimsical and collectible.
The canvas edges are embellished with textured gold paste, creating a rich metallic finish that serves as a subtle nod to the vintage sardine tins that inspired the collection. This elegant detail allows the artwork to be displayed beautifully with or without a frame.
As the painting that inspired an entire collection of Southern Salty Sardines™ characters—including favorites such as Honor, The Teacher, The Influencer, The Gardener, and many more—this piece holds a special place in my artistic journey.
Whether displayed in a living room, studio, office, or creative space, Ladies of the Tin™ is designed to spark conversation, bring a smile, and remind us that life is a little brighter when we embrace our own colorful personalities.
